Evening in New York

Usual summer evening,
Evening in New York,
And a guy named Irving
Walking after work.

He is walking slowly,
Down Centre Street,
Thinking of a bowling,
And some friends to meet.

And a girl named Betty
Walking towards him,
She is young and pretty,
She is nice and slim!

She is walking quickly
To a city pool
And she's thinking briefly:
He is looking cool!

They're exchanging glances,
They're exchanging smiles,
They have equal chances,
They have equal styles!

She is turning round
And he's looking back,
And his heart is bound,
It's a love attack!

And perhaps they'll never
Never meet again,
But what really matters:
Nothing is in vain!

It's love in a Сity.
Is it love indeed?
But it's such a pity
If they never meet!

Yes, Shakespeare said this about life. He also said: Living for yourself is abuse. Thank you for your comment. )

If you're interested, my opinion on this is as follows:

The only meaning of a man's life
Is taking care of his wife! ))

He was wright thinking that to live for yourself means to have been abused. So when one feel bloody fed up with it I do think one must find a horse of a girl)

If your wife looks like a horse,
There's a reason for divorce! ))
