The waiter, as studies show,
remembers better the non-tipper types,
than those who actually tip.
And bill moonshiners are remembered best of all.
Thus, all unfinished things,
and unaccomplished tasks,
are fondled warmly in the memory.
Such is the stuff that prophecies are made of.
The waiter brings a tray.
You either tip him, or you don't.
You pay the bill when you have finished,
or you won't.
That doesn't matter much.
The waiter takes the tray away.
The tips don't matter much to him.
