Mirror

I told her once 'stop being scared',
I told her 'life is just a game.'
She didn't answer, simply stared
With eyes lacking light, life or aim.

I told her 'go and have some fun'.
With someone worthy, safe and nice.'
She did it, but it made her numb.
She screamed at me with teary eyes.

Then someone walked into the room:
'Why are you talking to yourself?'
I turned away.
Ashamed and gloomed.
I put the mirror on the shelf.
