Lullaby

Hushaby, lie down and die,
Close your eyes with open smile
Let agleam blue fluff of mold
Cover you from brave new world.

May the trees entwine your chest,
Give your hair for finches nest,
Let a lacewing dry your tears,
Cling to moisture under eaves.

Be asleep to sleep you out,
Stop your endless fight of doubt,
Cool and calm and evergreen
Hushaby, dissolve in steam.
