Завоеватель

Ты смеялся: "Нет, не понять ей,
Я - посланник времён иных.
Уникален. Завоеватель!
Весь мир ляжет у ног моих!"

Подмигнув, торопился в битву:
"Жди, вернусь на коне верхом!
Всё, что будет войной добыто -
Я тебе подарю потом!"

А теперь, неудачей ранен,
Еле-еле пришел домой.
Раны вылечим. Всё исправим.
Обновлённым вернешься в бой.

Пусть рассказ мой невероятен,
Но заполнится пустота.
Ты, как прежде, - "завоеватель",
Точно знаю, что это - так!

Ветру имя твоё знакомо
(Он сказал мне, стучась в окно),
В шуме ливня, в раскатах грома
Постоянно звучит оно.

Город вторит: все магистрали,
Гул от тысяч людей в метро,
Все динамики повторяли,
Что ты гордо взошёл на трон!

Я всерьёз! Ты смеёшься снова,
Только правда, поверь, моя.
Ведь тобою был завоёван
Мир, каким его знаю Я.


The Conqueror

You were laughing "Can't she believe me?
I belong to another time!
I'm unique, I'm a mighty conqueror,
All the world will be fully mine!"

With a smile you rushed out for fighting
"Wish good luck, darling. Tell me bye.
I'll be back and present you treasures.
Soon you'll see how I'm riding high!"

Battle lost, you are hardly walking.
Wounds are hurting for now, but then
I'll take care of you, I will heal you,
Make you able to fight again.

You may doubt what I say but listen.
Screw the emptyness inside you.
There's no others with so huge powers,
I can prove that my words are true.

There's the wind knocking at my window
And it came just to tell your name.
Sounds of raindrops and strikes of thunder
All as one claiming all the same.

Highway noises and subway humming,
Every speaker on every street,
Sounds of city just keep repeating
That the King was to take his seat!

Now that you felt again like smiling,
Mind the truth in my every word.
All the Universe is your kingdom
For you dared to conquer MY world.
