An ocean
as a river
runs foremost,
but is hard to come by
in anybody's mind but the ancient Greek's,
but why?
(pronounced: hwai)
I think it's because of T. S. Eliot,
the Nobel laureate.
It's all because of him.
The sea is all around us, –
who said that?
Him.
And the river inside us, –
who?
Him again.
What a sad misconception, indeed.
What about, er, an ocean?
An ocean is a notion
(pronounced: anoushn azanoushn)
of a river taken by itself.
And not as some idiot laureate would.
An idea of water that doesn't hold.
An ocean.
That's it.
I'll say it again.
A notion.
