When friends so close all turn away from you...

When friends so close all turn away from you,
The one you loved has turned into a foe,
When there’s no will to trigger something new,
I guess you have to learn to let things go.
Attachment brings unnecessary pain,
It’s only an impediment to luck.
And when you’re down and crying in the rain,
Cold wind will bring you high above the ruck…
Well, loneliness does have some regnant woe
Which rules when you run out of words and dreams,
And if you see it as a friend not foe,
It’ll succour you… at least, that’s what it seems.
Alone I am, alone I’ll always be.
Forgive me, dear, I bother you again.
I’m vexed with paying tolls for being me,
But life’s unfair, and so be it. Amen.

A diet of loneliness is nutritious for hearts. But every so often a lonesome heart is recommended to enjoy the delicacy of congeniality... Of which poetry is a wonderful cook -)

Thank you for your congenial lines!
Respectfully yours,
Odysseus -)

Indeed, and it is exactly what we generally search for while plunging into the world of letters and rhymes) Thank you for your kind comment (it was such a pleasure to read!) and the time you took to stop by!
