Wonderland

This night I’ve seen The Land again
With sapphire lake and snow-capped pick
With crystal stream crossing the glen
With goldfish swimming in the creek

I take my swag and hit the road
And reaching, reaching Wonderland
My night dreams urge me like a goad
I thirst to hit the magic strand

In some climes they asked me to stop
To swim in the entrancing sea
To lark in green dales, laugh and hop
But nothing could bring over me

These valleys aren't as green as mine
These bays are not enough azure
These mountain picks are not so white
They are inept. I’m wholly blue

Some people tried to join my trip
But these names glowed on a highway
No halt before I find a tip
The Land I am dreaming night and day

I trust one day the trip will end
And I will see the snow-capped pick
In my desired Wonderland
With goldfish swimming in the creek
