His Catship Thomas After All
Was praised unique at exit-poll
When kids and grown-ups leave the hall
Of evening session in the stalls
To tell the children, After all,
To be as fast before nightfall
For evening farewell on call
Of their parents to dream of
Thomas Tomovich, so clean, polite,
Well-behaved, the best
In everything he does or tests,
No matter if he minds protest
Against ongoing naughty jests
Of his attempts to sleep in chest
Of drawers in the nest
Of silky stuff of Lady’s best
And thinnest stockings and the rest…
For, after all, no such request
Should bother The Most Handsome Cat.
