A Letter To The Lord
I'm just asking for loaf of bread,
For my family good health
And a smile of my kid instead.
I don't need any brand of shoe,
I'm just pleading for strong feet,
And a pair of hands too
For a hug when we happily meet.
I don't need a suburban mansion,
I'm just begging for better living,
For no tears and for no tension,
And for you in future believing.
I don't need any laurels of fame,
I'm appealing for power of love,
For strong will and for no shame,
That The Lord will protect from above.
I don't need the admiring glances,
I'll be happy with true loyal friends.
I'm just hoping for better chances
And in peace rest when this life ends.
I don't dare to ask you for more things,
Swear, I'm proud of what's now in my sack.
I just need some fresh wind for my weak wings,
I will promise to pay one day back...
