To speak THE Truth and tell A Lie,
They say the Truth is only one.
Is it the one that's tears-like,
As bitter in its taste as burning at its touch?
One never knows how far and where
A Lie will likely lead.
But still the one who goes this way
Is sure once to be deceived.
Lest you should ever face this question,
Now it's just the time to choose:
Either be an honest virtuous creature,
Or join in the camp of Faith's sworn foes!
The prey in mesh, which you have built,
To struggle out will be hard.
As when what's hidden is revealed
The pain for me - the shame for you
Is not to be survived.
Of what I have been always sure
- If no one knew what lies are,
There wouldn't be the notion of truth.
To lie or not to lie?
