Малыш джек и пони том

 

JACK AND PONY, TOM.

Jack had a little pony-Tom;
He frequently would take it from
The stably where it used to stand
And give it sugar with his hand.
He also gave it oats and hay
And carrots twenty time a day
And grass in basketfuls, and greens,
And swedes and mangolds, also beans,
And patent foods from various sources
And bread ( which isn't good for horses )
And chocolate and apple-rings
And lots of other things
The most of which do not agree
Who Polo Ponies such as he.
And all in such a quantity
As turned him from a Ponopoly
-I mean a Polo Pony-into
A case that clearly must be seen to.
Because that swelled and swelled and swelled.
Which, when the kindly boy beheld,
He gave him medicine by the pail
And yet it only swelled the more
Until its stomach touched the floor,
And ten in heaved and groaned as well
And found it could not rise again.
Jack wept and prayed-but all in vain,
The pony died, and as it died
Kicked him severely in the side

Moral.

Kindness to animals should be
Attuned to their brutality..

Был у Джека пони – Том.
Ездить он любил на нём.
Чтоб верхом на пони сесть,
Сахарок у Джека есть.
Также сено и овёс.
И морковь ему он нёс
Был у Тома стол не голый -
Шведский стол и стол монголов.
Вся патентная еда.
Хлеб давал он иногда,
Яблок спелых, шоколада.
Всё давал. Меню – “что надо!”
Том не выразил протест
В том, что конь не всё тут ест.
Уж продуктов много коли
Пони можно “ понополи ”
Называть уверенно.
Я назвал намеренно.
Пони быстро разбухал.
Добрый мальчик созерцал,
А заметивши синдром,
Он лекарства лил ведром.
Бесполезно лил и вот -
До земли достал живот
Пони падал и вставал.
Наконец затих, упал.
Джек и плакал и молился,
И толкал и очень злился.
Пони больше встать не мог,
Не стонал совсем умолк.

Мораль.

Будьте более любезны.
Знайте зверям что полезно.
