Стихи и песенки дядюшки Медведя

Mother cow
– Mother Cow, Mother Cow,
Where have you been till now?
– In the meadow I have been,
Where the herbs are sweet and green.
If you look for milk, my dear,
Wait a minute somewhere here;
I should feed my little calf,
And I’ll give you all with love.
Our bearded Goat
Our horned and bearded goat
Chewed a green leaf near the road;
Chewed and chewed – the leaf had a fall –
The goat stopped and just asked all:
“Where’s my leaf? It’s disappeared…”
But the leaf was in the beard.
Chickens
– Chickens, chickens, little chicks,
Why do you run like from sticks?
– We were scared by someone,
From his claws and fangs we run.
– Oh, my chickens, you are pretty!
That was a fluffy little kitty!
He’s got scared of you too!
Hen
Mrs. Hen, you are my dear;
You help me, but I don’t care.
In the evening, in the morn
You can find seed and corn.
I don’t help you, I don’t pay,
But I have an egg a day.
Mouse books
Mice bought the books,
The magic books;
And very strange
Each of them looks.
On every page
There's no a fox
And all the cats
Are under the locks.
But every page
Has wheat in a pot;
Such magic books
Those mice have bought.
