First Winter Day 13. 11. 07

       ...Leaving vitality     So serene
             breeds my darkness
    Entreating winterwinds
   Though I leave... I embrace thee...

                1.
On the marge of another bleak season
All the life on the earth slowly dies
The unmoved woods stand leafless and wizen
And the rivers get covered with ice
                2.
So, again I wake up with the matin
But what new in this world would I gain?
...One more day of the meaningless waiting
And a woe penetrating my brain
                3.
From depression, distress and abasement
My dusk memory cannot be cleaned
I just watch the dull town through the casement
And my blood is as cold as the wind
                4.
E'en the birds in the frozen yard twitter
With some dumpy and desperate sound
And the shades of affliction embitter
Every tinge of the sunlight around.
                5.
...Time elapses and brings the nigrescence
The unleashed winter gale starts to howl
And the spirits' intangible presence
Quells my senses and squeezes my soul
                6.
Contemplating the flickering neon
On the roofs and the dirty brick walls
I see off my hope into an eon
And my verse fades beneath the fate's palls
                7.
Once I dreamt to become a great warlock
But today there's a girl on my mind -
Her sad eyes, tender hands and short forelock...
The dark passion for which my heart pined
                8.
My beloved lady-night... I can't leave her
Can't assent to the lonely demise
For too long while I played the believer
In the myth of a lost paradise
                9.
Let the past rest in peace - none can mend it
But the Truth still determines my creed
And the judgement is near - I portend it
For the tribes steeped in foulness and greed
                10.
We'll condemn them without consolation
And though I know the Good ne'er will win,
We shall carry on our re-creation
And retain the black fire within
