Twilight Immensity. to the fallen ones 11. 01. 07

Epigraph:     ...In the shadows of a tormented soul
There conceals a murky threshold
Eldritch phantasm reveals
The yearning for infinitude invades...

Can you see the ice tears on the white winter's hair?
Do you hear the wood whispers its bitter despair?
In the skies the blear haze veiled the funeral glow
And above the dead ground soars the carrion crow

We're the spalls of the vanished dipped into the still
Our expectance was vain and our hopes were unreal
Midst the barbarous crowds - godless, heartless and mad
We did waste all the faith and the virtue we had

Now our fire is waned - no one plays, no one sings
And our tame bats can't fly up on their frozen wings
Just from out the bleak heights stares the devilish snout
As the twilight immensity deepens about

No more allies beside for the ride through the night
I remained with no strengths and no weapon to fight
My own wealth is the graves and the dust in the urn
...How I hanker to watch this disgusting world burn...

I remember the stars o'er the river's expanse
But the beauty of yore has forever gone hence
At our present we mourn in the misery's gyves
And the lurid oblivion covers our lives

My dim consciousness roams in the past tragic age
And my pain is too rooted for time to assuage
It's the sentence - to bury the truth once presumed
And bewail the affection initially doomed
