Страха ради иудейска,
отречение от корней –
с оселедцем вместо пейса.
В час лихой хлебнут с лихвой.
Продадут за доллар с пенсом
и кредит – ещё верней!
страха ради иудейска,
свата, брата, мать, отца.
Даже фейс у подлеца –
в балаклаве, фарисейски:
маску снял – и след простыл.
Ближним, дальним – всем постыл
злой угар быдлячей спеси.
С оселедцем вместо пейса –
отречение от корней,
страха ради иудейска.

          “...for fear of the Jews...” [John 19:38, KJV]

For fear of the Jews,
putting down roots –
with a long toupee in lieu of a side-lock.
In an ill time, they will more than suffer.
They can sell for a dollar and a penny
or, more likely, on credit!
for fear of the Jews,
their kith, or brother, or mother, or father.
The scoundrel wears a balaclava,
self-righteously, to hide his face:
now he takes off his cover and vanishes into thin air.
Those close, as well as those distant to them –
everyone is sick of the evil frenzy of their boorish arrogance.
With a long toupee in lieu of a side-lock –
putting down roots,
for fear of the Jews.
