Fire song
The day is gone, the youth is running out,
We say farewell, too young for sighs and still too old to cry,
The day is gone, it's gone without a doubt.
But still, new day is coming,
The fire is to heat the night,
I've grown up but still i feel like crying,
And still I feel that something isn't right.
And on a stranger's face, which's shaded with his sorrow,
I see the grin but never see a smile,
I see a mask with feelings he has borrowed,
At dark he passes by, tomorrow seems so vile.
Chorus:
But yet again we gather by the fire,
And yet again we sing our precious song.
In our hearts we keep a strong desire,
Desire that the night will not last long.
My friends don't cry but sing in tragic voices,
Through growing darkness we see less and less,
We've come to know that our lifetime choices
Were set with our desire to posess.
But now we learn a newer way to live,
A fire shared can make a nighttime bright,
We find a way to profit and yet give,
And doing so we spread our dear light.
The night is dark, it cripples our song,
With face of clay a stranger passes by,
Again I feel that something's going wrong,
He is another one too young for sighs and still too old to cry.
Chorus:
But yet again we gather by the fire,
And yet again we sing our precious song.
In our hearts we keep a strong desire,
Desire that the night will not last long.
