Meanwhile in England
Turned to cool and drizzling rain.
A thunder struck and lightning goes,
Strong wind blows and soon it pours.
It is unpleasant in such weather
To leave your home to go somewhere.
So our friends who stay in England
Decide at pub to spend the evening.
They sit discussing there since morning
What is worth to see at first?
And by what means of travel
It is better to reach the spot.
A: - So many roads, so many streets,
Exciting sights, imposing buildings,
The other rules, the other customs
So much unusual in this country!
B: - Do you prefer, my friend,
To choose the way to travel?
A: - Oh yes! Perhaps it may be cab,
A famous London symbol!
C: - I heard it long ago
If you intend to go somewhere
A cab-man always knows the way
And how to get there
In no time at all.
D: - This car is very elegant,
Its colour is deep black
You will be pleased with comfortable air
And spacious room for passengers.
B: - It is expensive way to travel
But be sure we will try it
And now let me remind
Another kind of traffic.
A: - Oh, let me guess
Is not it double – Decker?
It is my dream, I must confess
To have a seat on top of this unusual vehicle!
C: - OK, it’s very funny to travel in this way.
It’s different from buses in my country
And is cheaper than travel in a cab!
A: - And what if there is a traffic jam?
B: - I must suppose to go by train.
The London Underground is well-known
If you remember,
It was the first one built in the world.
Besides, there are a lot of stations
So you will never get lost.
D: - I think we’ve made decision
As we are all to travel much
We should go to places of interest
Somewhere by train and somewhere by bus!
