These handfuls of wishes
Are like stars in the sky,
I’ll clasp to my chest
With dear prays on my lips,
With dear tears on my face.

Swallowed up by the light,
Coming down, dispelling the night,
We’ll make our way to
The temple of gladness and joy.

This vanishing night,
Tormenting us with delight,
Colours you with its feelings
That are gentle and blue.

This pouring, blooming day,
Exciting us with its heaves,
Colours me with its
Golden waves of the light,
Raining down upon us.
Coming down to you and to me!

Awakened, I tightly embrace
Your fragile beauty…
And feel
As if you’d vanish away
Like this dear and fragile night.

With every sweet kiss
And tender embrace
I feel my heart tremble.

I’ve always wanted to hold you like this,
So that you’ll never vanish again.
Believing in this present world,
I’ll keep my promise to you in my heart.

Between those terrors that are theirs, 
And the equally precious soul that is yours,
