Demis Roussos

June 15th – Demis Roussos’ birthday.


Demis Roussos - a gifted Greek performing artist, musician and singer.
He’s gradually achieved success, recognition versus an overnight bingo.
Demis’ explored genres of world music, progressive rock, pop-folk, pop.
He knew what he had wanted, unwilling to give up a big dream or stop.

Roussos played trumpet, guitar, bass guitar and sings with operatic voice.
He’s joined the Aphrodite’s Child band, which was his temporary choice.
Later he tried as solo, performing live, reaching his fame and popularity.
He manifested talent, easy going spirit & bright, distinctive individuality.

The Pope of pop’s unique in musical style, stage presence & arrangement.
He had exhibited mastery, passion, perseverance, courage & engagement.
Roussos’ conveyed and encouraged creative freedom and self-expression.
His vocal phenomenon for many people seemed to be source of inspiration.

June 15th – birthday of Demis Roussos, our loved maestro, he was the best.
He's capable sharing his gift, while having paced and alternated work & rest.
In life Demis maintained happiness, health, harmony & joy in all endeavors.
For his contribution to music field we're expressing love, respect & prayers.
