Watching everything die
In agony collapsed into a black hole,
In my black eyes giving each soul scars
They’ve seen how dizzy worlds are burning.
I haven’t known till now my role,
Entire life I lived on hardly learning
About the universe and everything that matters;
And though my mother’s left me
I have since then received from her no letters.
The darkness in my eyes grew colder,
Hypocrisy and haughtiness I’ve seen
In omens, as the world was getting older.
The day recalling minutes I was born –
For goodness sake, I cursed that very moment! –
I drank Capitoline wolf’s milk from the Devil’s horn
And watched the end of moons and suns,
Composing potent pain with each component,
That scattered seeds of wisdom in my sons.
As time passed by my hair whitened,
But under lashes there were still black holes,
The everlasting fire of war has brightened
With every victim fighting for the blue.
In my old weakened hands I held the dolls
Called Romulus and Rem, I realized – I rule
This universe of angry prudes.
