Why are we running
The wall of worries and tears,
And the ghostly whisper calling along
The lines of hope and joy and fears.
Scars and scares tangling up in knots,
Loosely flowing under your skin,
We’re standing still, just taking notes
On the standard meaning of a deadly sin.
Ignorant, insignificant, that’s us and what else?
Fighting, obeying, rebelling, being and dying,
Why don't we climb up the forbidden fence?
Cause we’ve already lost the holy shinning.
Seeking the nightshade, tell me darling -
Among raindrops, why are we running
Since we are nothing but sand grains
In the disastrous machine of fate?
