Bitter Way

It is so hard to be yourself
When pain is stinging through the chest
And only thing you want so bad -
To scream, with all your might.
You feel so lonely, lost and broken,
And life is tearing apart
The only pieces of the heart
That were untouched.
In the response
You start to hate
The world, people, everyone
Who failed to see
How bad you were
With all those masks
And this pathetic smile.
You curse the fate
That was so cruel
And so unfair towards you.
You ask the questions
Why? What’s for?
But no one gives an answer
‘Cause no one can.
You’re falling deeper into darkness.
And shattered mirror of your soul
Reflect the ugly side
Of this corrupted world.
And every moment less and less
You trust to your surrounding.
You shut yourself from all intruders,
No matter what they aim for.
You lose connections with all people
Who wish you well,
And do their best
To save your life.
And after you’re just going down
And sinking quickly,
Until you reach the very end
That leads nowhere.
But you can stop it from collapsing
Without giving up,
And try to stand up, face the problem
Even though it hurts so bad -
This is the only way.
With all your heart you have to say
Good words about people
Who made you cry.
The hate is never a solution
And nothing ever can be built
At someone else’s grief and sorrow -
This is the bitter way.
