I Like it when You

I like it when you look so naked in your dress,
I like it when you seem so happy while depressed,

And when you look at me with eyes so full of dust –
The dust of pain that is as ancient as the rust.

The way you speak - both makes me want to live and die…
And though it’s twisted,  there’s a thing I can’t deny –

You may conceal it, yet you differ from the rest:
Your winter sun leaves scars and changes one for the best…..

Your soul is covered with the skin made out of scales –
It’s interesting quite to leaf them through for Tales…

-----
How cruel can we be to each other,
Yet we enjoy it so why bother?
You’re aware well of your dreams:
Cuts you hide – they run so deep.

Twisted things make you feel so alive.
Why‘re you denying your own strife?..
God, oh save us!.. hear those screams?..
That’s the heart you muffle weeps…

Diabolic yet Holy - we’re the same…
