Success should not be your pursuit
It simply should ensue from service
From kind deeds and efforts put
In staying calm when you feel nervous
Preserving dignity and pride
When offered glittery distractions
Being your own boss and guide
In plans, ideas, choices, actions.
The goal is competence in all
That holds your interest, inspires
To reach it you will climb the wall,
Fight many fears and desires,
Spend countless hours of practice,
Neglect some friendships on the way
Nobody's perfect but the fact is -
You won't waste your life away!
You'll be a part of human growth
No matter how small a part
It's time for you to pledge an oath
To give yourself a brand new start!
