Many of her friends had told her many times
That perhaps it would be wrong to marry her boss,
But he was nice and caring a long time ago,
And at that time how could she possibly know
That his job was at the center of his world?
So when he proposed, she didn’t say a word,
And agreed reluctantly and with much hesitation,
And down the road, in the future, bitter frustration
Tormented her badly. And she realized in the end
That she was never in love with that wealthy man.
