we can't
we're hungry
yeah, we're starving
we're chocked
by lack of choice
not aging gracefully
no wealth to sacrifice
no dignity to
muster
no will
to hold on
no beliefs
to pull us through
no end no way and no beginning
no letting go
will suffice
no, even those last shreds of hope
will be extracted from our grip
for us - that's how it is
that's how it goes
sink or swim
a lesson in humility
we stand apart from others
set to naught
