Сил много властвует над нами
Эпохам дерзостным под стать,
Но никому ещё местами
Не доводилось поменять
Ролей незыблемых основы:
Мы – раболепцы грёз пустых,
И цены им всегда суровы,
И продавцы не из скупых...

Лукавит смелому желанью
Неизъяснимых истин крест:
«Благословенье покаянью,
Самозабвенью же – протест».

Восставший против тех порядков
С позором будет обречён
В безвестьи искры всех задатков
Метать к углям судьбы вдогон.

Умом и чувствами свободных,
Беспечных радости транжир
Судом убогих и безродных
Отторгнет праздный, лживый мир
И под высоких терний своды
(Где око видит – зуб неймёт)
Встречать безмерные невзгоды
До издыханья призовёт...

Но капля в море – смерть, и горе –
Не каждый час пророк всему!
Уж лучше с ними знаться в ссоре,
Чем с миром злым, и потому
Всего честнее – откровенье,
Всего ценнее – вольный дар,
Всего страшнее – предрешенье,
А горячее – сердца жар!

Most valuable is intangible gift,
Most fearsome is foregone conclusion,
And most hotter is heat of heart!

Many forces always dominate us
Match to all last daring epochs,
But no one else hasn't succeeded
Yet a global major changes of
Unshakable foundation roles:
We're servants of empty dreams,
And their prices are always severe,
And sellers aren't stingy hogs...

Bold desire disingenuous with
Inexplicable cross of truths:
«Blessing to repentance, when
Selflessness get a protest».

Rebelled against those orders
Is doomed in shame sparks of all
Inclinations toss into obscurity
After cooled dark coals of fate.

With free minds and feelings
Careless jaunty joy spenders
By judgement of poor and rootless
Rejects an idle, deceitful world,
And under high arches of thorns
(Where eye sees – tooth itchs)
Will call to meet immense adversity
Before gasping for the last breath...

Death is drop in sea, and grief –
Not a prophet to everything in time!
Better to stay in quarrel with them,
Than with wicked world, so therefore
