There is always something happening. If you’ve overslept, you might be awakened by a blackbird chirping outside your bedroom window. The world is not all that empty. There has to be a drama; there has to be gossip; there has to be a visit from somebody or other. We are always creating tea parties or cocktail parties, inviting people over. That’s a natural situation, which is very sacred and wonderful."
