Freddie Hubbard

April 7th – Freddie Hubbard’s birthday.  In 2013 there is 75 years since he was born.


Freddie Hubbard was a fabulous jazz trumpeter of hard bob, post bob, bebop style.
He had succeeded in the era of modern jazz development and experimental trial.
Freddie was known for his open minded creativity, musical invention, innovation.
For artists as well as audience he had become an idol and a source of inspiration.

A muli-instrumentalist could play French horn, flugelhorn, mellophone, tuba, cornet.
Listening, hearing and watching Hubbard’s performance no one was able to forget.
He was a distinctive, virtuoso, prolific artist, performer communicating jazz phrasing.
Freddie’s committment, contribution to the world of music - extraordinary, amazing.

Hubbard impressed listeners with lyricism, rhythms, sound, tone, style, versatility.
He had expressed it with his strength, willpower, courage, drive, subtlety, nobility.
Freddie had been an honorable, respected, recognized persona and professional.
His love for music, passion, dedication, mastery was influential, truly exceptional.

April 7th – birthday of Freddie Hubbard, we are remembering a glorious musician
Who shared with us God given gifts, creative spirit, vision, refined skills, erudition.
Hubbard established and maintained his legacy contributing to jazz culture and art.
He was a pioneer and integrator of music rhythms and sounds – inspiring and smart.
