What's her name? The first couple of months are rough..just hang in there! After that...smooth sailing!

I'm ok..working, working oh and did I mention working!

Claire is in college, still pursuing dentistry. Leron is starting college in Sept, major engineering and the "baby" -14 year old/blue-eyed wonder, Aron will be starting High School 9th grade in September. G-d Bless them, they keep us on our toes...never a dull moment! ))))))

Trying to plan a summer vacation...will see how that goes..)

So you do have a pretty busy schedule, I see. Hope you have a good vacation.
We named the baby Yasmin. She's having a bit of tummy trouble lately, but I understand it's something all babies deal with for a few months after birth.

....на русском наверно -Жасмин? Although I could be wrong, as I know that the first letter is extremely important, if you're naming after someone.

Whose name is she carrying? Yes, I want to say all, if not most, infants are colicy.. Some have theorized that breastfeeding is to blame for colic. Others claim that formula is the culprit -may be neither . . . or both.

It’s very common though for babies to experience some form of colic, the first couple of months. There are these "burp" drops (simethicone) that some parents give, I never did. Tummy massage seems to help them. Also, even though I breastfed, I watched very carefully what I ate because certain foods can contribute to additional gas/or discomfort for the little one. Another frequently asked question from parents is "water supplementation."
Breast milk is about 80% water and has all the necessary nutrients..with formula, supplementing with water is advisable. I'm assuming that would hold true in Israel's climate, as well (if not more so).

This is not the pharmacist in me coming out...it's mommy )

Kiss her for me (lightly on the forehead or hand, which I hope by now is wearing a red thread... )

Thanks for taking interest and caring :) As for the kisses, will do.
It is Жасмин in Russian, true, but we've named her Yasmin, a local version of the name. Basically we named her after princess Jasmine from Alladin. )) We both liked the sound of it, plus my gf did some research on the name and it appears girls who are named that grow up strong-willed and don't let ppl push them around. Which is pretty important, I guess. )
My gf's not breastfeeding her but gives her Similac instead. Yasmin seems to be fine with it. We've been giving her the anti-colic drops too. All and all she's doing good, or at least better than she could've. And tummy rubs, of course.
And naturally, the red thread is there. ))
