Thank you for your laugh;

For your eyes and for your lips;
   For your belly-dancing hips;

For your thoughts and for advice;
   For your jokes that lacked no spice.

For your wisdom based on life,
   For your persevering strife.

For the dreams I had of us:
    For the hope: that not all lost.

For the quick and sharp break up
    before putting your makeup.

That was wise to cut at once
    what could be a great romance.

It could have been or never be.
    “Waste of time,” you said to me.

I had no choice, but to agree.
     Nonetheless, I'll cherish Thee.
