The bell repels bad spirits;
calling to the sun and moon,
its orotund solemnity
celebrates and warns.
The bell's note is unwavering;
its vibrant ancestry of bronze
resonates with bygone times,
portending times to come.
In its density of sound
the moment is prolonged.
It tolls the advent of the sun,
the rituals that make life strong -
festivals, exequys - the eternal,
overarching Om...
