William Holden

April 17th – William Holden’s birthday.  In 2012 there is 94 years since he was born.
 

William Holden – a great actor, 1954 winner of the Academy Award.
He had resided and pursued different careers in America and abroad.
Holden was talented, good looking, charismatic, affable, enthusiastic.
He had portrayed characters with sense of humor, which was sarcastic.
 
The Wild Bunch, Sabrina, Stalag 17, Sunset Boulevard, The Moon Is Blue…
Holden was vigorous playing his characters, his eagerness – sincere, true.
The Bridge on the River Kwai, The Towering Inferno, Network and Fedora…
His trademark had been piercing voice, sarcastic humor and magnetic aura.
 
Aside from acting, away from Hollywood he had fulfilled another passion.
Holden had managed Mount Kenya Safari Club for wildlife conservation.
He allied with life partner to run the William Holden Wildlife Foundation.
Animal welfare was their mission, as they invested time, effort, attention.
 
April 17th – birthday of William Holden, a “Golden Boy” of the Golden Age.
Sadly that lately in life he isolated himself dying during an alcoholic stage.
Holden’s remembered for contribution to performing arts, determination.
At age of 63, William had passed away, it was the end – life’s termination.
