The sheer evidence of God
Lies in the fact that He may not.
He doesn't have to come and be,
He is, but not for us to see.
His very absence, in a sense,
Too, testifies to His existence,
And the distinction's rather fine
Between a symbol and a sign.
But, we prefer, in this country,
Our own petite geometry.
