To my beloved one from Rhodes

I had a dream when fell asleep
Of you and me in sunny Greece.
You planted fondly on my lips
The most overwhelming kiss.

We shared love under the sun
And loved the sharing of warmth,
We were two parts but of the one
Our hands-in search, our bodies-close.

Blue was the sea, the wind was still
I touched your shoulder with my cheek,
We carried on this silent thrill
Until we reached its highest peak.

Awaken by the chirping sound
I was alas to find the truth:
The dream is gone, you’re not around,
You left me feeling so aloof.

The sea went rough, the wind grew stronger,
The heat was scorching, burnt my feet,
Without a chance to see you longer
I go back to my retreat…
