New Millenium

When one cannot see the stars in the sky,
When one cannot think of reasons to fly,
When the head is too heavy and it can’t be ignored,
When one finds a chest with all the memories stored;

Where no one can breathe without having a thought:
‘To which places I’ve been and to which I have not?
What kind of a man my child wants me to be?
What wonders of Earth will I be able to see?

Does one still judge a book by its cover or not?
Is something I don’t have worth more than I’ve got?
Will parents be ever respected by children?
Do people ruin bridges without hoping to build them?

Our life is too cruel but it is no one’s fault.
We can't find the One, though we're dating a lot.
My knowledge is worthless, my body’s my bread.
But looking in hearts they search faces instead.

I’ve made a lot of mistakes but I have no regrets.
Mistake is a thing that everyone makes.
I’m no person of honour whom I wanted to be
But being a person is an honour for me.

Is winter forever, or is there no end?
All these thoughts were spinning, attacking one’s head.
My mission’s accomplished, on a particular day
I’ll be proud of myself in my personal way.’

"I’m no person of honour whom I wanted to be
But being a person is an honour for me".

Exectly and beautifully said!
It's the poem with deep meaning.
Thank you!
