I am an immigrant,
So what?
Still, human being just like you,
Not different, alike.

I owe big heart, good brains
And other baggage.
I have an accent and you think –
I’m stupid? – No, just language.

I do look funny in that dress?
I’m sorry it’s a culture.
I eat this yaki, nasty shit-
It’s really not bad, just poultry.

Ow ye, I am a little different
I love your country more than you,
I don’t blame others for the things I do.
And everyday I learn, to live with you.

Ow ye, I feel, you hate me,
But still, you smile at me.
In front my kids who born here
You tell “Go Home” to me.

I can, would you be happy then?
Would you will work as hard as me
At nights, at fields, non-stop, low pay?
You think the immigrants to blame?

For Wall street games?
For houses you bought and did not pay?
For jobs that going overseas?
You think its me?

You spoiled American forgot,
This country built by immigrants!
And you ancestors mad would got,
To hear your resentments.

You make your kids watch movies, play Xbox,
Have beer, chips and watch your sports.
While they degrade we’ll raise to top,
So, they don’t have to worry, pop.

Please let me stay, please let me be.
I promise you won’t spend on me
More than on your crazy milatary.
I promise, you won’t even notice me.

You sit, relax, enjoy - I’ll pay for all.
The unemployement, disability and welfare.
I am alredy paying tax for that.
But no, you scream - I don't, you brat…

I’ll pay for lazy days you have
For extra food and extra drug you take
For anything  you say my owner -
I’ll Pay!  I’ll pay, I promise I will pay!

You won’t survive without me
So, think again and please forgive,
For speaking other language
Or, for being ... - Me.
