For the first time if just for a second
Love was possible between us,
Mind and body agreed to accept it,
Insecurities - thing of the past...
I breathed once, I breathed twice and the image
Has grown weaker and faded away,
But I know now - acutely aware -
What it takes to convince love to stay.
No surprises in this revelation,
Long suspected that this was the case,
Love's a twisted yet wondrous sensation,
Does it mean it's the end of the chase?
For the first time if just for a second...
