A piece of horror
Du-dun, Du-dun, Du-dun.
Like a heart beat; low and steady, as if the house had a heart that was hidden within those walls. The darker it befell the louder the beat got. As if it feared, of what the darkness brought along. As if it wanted to escape, to jump out and run. As if it wanted to stop beating. The sound of something falling down and breaking pierced the house; the beating stopped.
"Come out; come out, wherever you are." A hissing noise called creeping through the rooms; followed by someone's light feet running up the stairs. The voice laughed madly at the sound of quiet crying of a woman. "I found you." Another crash followed before deadly silence once again filled the rooms.
