It creeps through the darkness into your soul,
Deepening the shadows over your dreams.
Open your eyes, and keep them aglow
Your eyes will shed no more tears.
If only you learn how to fight it alone,
Forget everything that anyone told you,
You’ll know that have won, when you atone,
The feeling of harmony inside your soul.
And then you will wonder what it was that,
Torn you, controlled you from the inside.
Was it a devil’s selfish sweet sneer?
Or was it the heart of your old foolish fear...
