Свидание

В час, когда мерцанье звёзды разольют,
И на мир в молчанье сон и мрак сойдут,
С горькою истомой на душе моей
Я иду из дому на свиданье к ней.

И свиданье это в тишине ночной
Видят до рассвета звёзды лишь с луной.
Нет в нём ни лобзанья, ни пожатья рук,
И хранит молчанье мой прекрасный друг.

Не пылают очи у неё огнём,
В них разлит мрак ночи с непробудным сном.
И тогда приду я, тихо к ней склонюсь,
Всё её бужу я и не добужусь.

When the starry sky spreads the light of dim,
& at night from high comes the dark & dream,
Leave the house I for desired date.
Feels the heart of mine sharpest sorrow blade.

Witnesses of this date in the silent night
Are the stars in all great, beautiful delight.
Neither any kisses, nor the warmth of hand
In the date with dearest & the mutest friend.

Nor the sight of fire in her lovely eyes,
Only dark attire, nor a hint of rise.
Either she is shaken, kissed in cherry lips –
Won’t she ever waken: sleeps & sleeps & sleeps.
