I am catching up with world in all its glamour,
And so much more that life can ever bring,
I am picking up the pieces of the summer
Like picking up what's left of broken dreams!
Enjoying things I thought are mine forever
And watching sparkling water turn to still
I've always been forgetful to remember
That time will come for me to pay the bill!
The sun will hide its smile behind the cloud,
And take away the pleasures from my heart,
The one I knew is not among the crowd,
And eyes that shone will lose their youthful spark!
Fill in your life with everlasting hunger,
And never take for granted while it lasts!
Then picking up the pieces of the summer
Will be like precious memories of the past...
