You love Autumn...
What does it tell you about?
Why these days
when russet leaves
cover the weary earth
after long fruitful summer
excite you so much?
Is this because of
a new
abundant harvest?
Is this because of
the Autumn sun
is mild and caressing,
when you can bask
tranquilly and serenely?
Is this because you enjoy
the simple melody of maturity,
watching the colorful
yet calm and wise play
in the theater of the life drama,
when the eternal mandala of being
is going to complete
another circle?
These days
when russet leaves
cover the weary earth,
these days
the entire universe
sounds
like a Tibetan singing bowl:
"Happy birthday, Karen!"
