Pain

Freezing Heart

It hurts, it chills, the pain you bring,
A sickness deep, a biting sting.
Tears well up, my vision blurs,
An empty ache, a hollow curse.

You turn away, you need to flee,
To find yourself, away from me.
Your words burn through like acid fire,
A searing pain, a cruel desire.

My heart feels tense, it cannot breathe,
It fights for peace, to find reprieve.
I’m freezing now, my heart turns cold,
It craves a flame, a warmth to hold.

My lungs still breathe, my soul turns ice,
A fragile shard that pays the price.
Yet through the cracks, I hear a beat,
A life persists, though incomplete.

I’m living still, I’ll hold this fight,
Through frozen tears, I’ll find the light.
