Blushing under suntan,
Radiantly smiling,
Trying to be genuine,
Failing to be true,
He knew what he wanted,
Didn’t want to hurt you,
Played your games with pleasure,
Waiting not for you.
Yes, he was your soulmate.
What a shock to meet one,
When you’d left all hopes to.
Yes he was the one.
But you had to leave him,
Not to interfere.
He will miss you sometimes,
Staring at the sun.
