I am - The way I am,
& I will never change.
I am - who I am,
Even if I'm strange.
I can be naive,
I can be rude
But that's how I am,
I don't need to be improved.
I can construct, I can destroy.
I am the way I am in this world of killjoy.
While building lives, I break myself,
In the world of hate & harsh betray.
Sometimes I cry, but I can laugh,
But no one cares nor understands.
I can be fearless yet I'm afraid,
Of what future holds & my mistakes.
I'm always quiet but at times,
I can't hold back my silent cries.
I can be free, but still I'm lonely,
Ardent I can be - then suddenly I'm corny.
I'll cry a little while no one can see
Then whipe my tears & smile in defeat,
Yet when I turn back to face you again
I'll still be the same
