Иен Гиллан

               Сегодня – день рождения Иена Гиллана (1945) –
               британского рок-певца, наиболее известного как
               вокалист группы «Deep Purple». Вторая волна славы
               Гиллана пришлась на его исполнение партии Иисуса
               в оригинальной версии рок-оперы «Jesus Christ
               Superstar» Эндрю Ллойд Веббера и Тима Райса. До сих
               пор певец считается одним из лучших мастеров грудного
               вокала в рок-музыке с диапазоном голоса от Е2 до С6.


То ураганной силы вопль вселенной,
то нежный шёпот леденеющей могилы –
всегда он разный, но всегда отменный,
вокал блестящий навсегда, чьё имя – Гиллан!

Когда-то очень давно, ещё в Советском Союзе,
узнав, что группа «Deep Purple» распалась, я на-
писал эту небольшую поэму. Сегодня она – как
