Seasons

Remember being there, one Spring
When cherries were in bloom?
The waterfalls fresh, dulcet sang
Our souls were - bride and groom.

How we were pulsing, side by side
Through Summer's wonders, days
How we were flying in life's stride
In all its thrills and sways.

Now it gets cold, though we are warm
In Autumn's subdued glow;
Your gentle comfort calms my angst
As days pass off in row,

But I do feel our fond embrace
Unclenching, sorely slow...

We'll be together, 'til the swarms
Of Winter's blankets show.
