The tree and the wind

Once upon a time a human came to the field. It was plain and empty; nothing but grass grew there. The human looked around sadly and decided to plant a tree. And so he did.
Days have passed, months, years...the human came every day. He took care of the tree...but one day he disappeared and never came again. He grew old and died.
The tree waited. Winter changed summer, but the human still did not come.
The tree continued growing. In coldness and in heat...until it matured and the memories faded... Beautiful in the middle of the field, like Oasis in the Desert...
But it was lonely.
One day the tree asked the wind:
“Tell me, what is Love?”
The wind fell silent for a few moments but then replied, “It’s impossible to tell about love.”
“Describe it then.”
“Impossible.” The wind replied harshly.
“Then show me.” the tree pleaded desperately.
“I cannot.”
“What should I do then?” the tree felt as if all hope was lost.
“Feel it.” the wind replied. “Love must be felt. If you can’t feel it, you will never understand.”
“But I...”
“Remember...someone plated you. Someone took care of you. Someone wanted you...remember...remember...remember...” the wind whispered and disappeared.
Memories flashed one by one...but it still didn’t remember the face of the one...the tree raised its branches in the air, like a human praying. “I don’t remember your face, but whoever you are...thank you. Thank you for your care...for...the love you gave me...Thank you.”
A week later the wind visited the tree.
“Do you understand now?” it asked.
“I feel it...”

~love appears in different forms, and we often do not realise it until it’s too late and the situation is irreversible; so let’s not make this mistake and appreciate what we have; because no matter who you are or where you are, there’s always someone out there who loves, even if you cannot see it.~
